The portfolio managed by FABAL includes more that 1,500 hectares of premium vineyards located across three states of Australia.
Since 2008 FABAL has diversified into fresh fruit horticulture, establishing a 43-hectare cherry orchard in the Huon Valley in Tasmania.
In the last year, FABAL has also been appointed as the responsible entity for more than 970 hectares of avocado, citrus and mango orchards at Childers in Queensland.
As a crutial part of its management strategy, FABAL seeks to ensure that the fruit grown on its managed vineyard developments is sold under secure grape supply agreements to Australian wine producers who provide premium wine to consumers across the globe
The fresh fruit grown on the FABAL project is marketed under agreements with leading fruit wholesalers in Australia serving the domestic and export markets.
FABAL manages its project portfolio to deliver added value and ongoing improvement in performance. This provides the investors and growers with continuous revenue streams coupled with potential capital growth through the growers' ownership of the underlying land and water infrastructure in the long term.
FABAL now develops and manages infrastructure involved in agribusiness operations. This has included becoming a 50% partner in Marathon Water Pty Ltd which, in partnership with another grape producer in Langhorne Creek, developed a 42km pipeline to deliver water from River Murray direct to the Langhorne Creek viticultural region.
